Regional Community Waterfront Center Meeting
Have you ever wrestled with an issue to improve your community waterfront program, knowing someone else must have faced the same problem, but did not know who to call? Would it be nice to have a network of fellow organizations helping each other connect their communities to the water?
If you agree, perhaps you would like to join like minded waterfront community sailing, education and recreation organizations at a "Regional Community Waterfront Center" meeting at SUNY Maritime College (on the Bronx side of Throgs Neck Bridge) on Thursday, January 11, 2007 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. This informal meeting will be a chance to network with and learn from similar organizations.
This is an open meeting expecting to have participants from New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. Please feel free to forward this message to any individual or organization that offers water related educational and recreational programs such as sailing, marine science, safe boating, kayaking, snorkeling, and swimming.
If you plan on attending please RSVP via e-mail to rcrafa@sunymaritime.edu and include three important issues you would like to discuss (i.e. facility location, insurance, marketing, equipment storage, finding instructors, fundraising, new program development).
Thank you. I look forward to seeing you on January 11th!
